The Party of Socialists didn’t close its doors to discussions with the electoral bloc ACUM. On March 19, the internal bodies of the PSRM will come together again to decide what the party will do further, MP-elect Vlad Batrîncea was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Key issue” on NTV Moldova channel.

“We, the party for which the largest part of the people voted, should propose a way to society. We are sure that if this path is in the interests of the people, Moscow, Brussels and other capitals of the world will be understandings,” the Socialist heavyweight noted.

He said that for now the PSRM hasn’t designed another scenario than that of negotiations with the bloc ACUM. “There were many rumors, but we haven’t discussed other variants and adopted decisions. Unlike the bloc ACUM, we didn’t close any door and didn’t get angry,” stated Vlad Batrîncea, who is the executive secretary of the PSRM.

Journalist Valery Demidetski said that by the refusal to discuss with the PSRM, the bloc ACUM shows it follows the self-preservation instinct of parties. The Socialists’ move was appropriate. The state interests that are now in a very difficult situation can be the only common point between these two parties.

On March 11, the Party of Socialists invited the bloc ACUM to discussions on the establishment of political parliamentary cooperation relations. The next day, the bloc’s leaders declined the invitation, arguing all the candidates of ACUM before the elections pledged not to form alliances with oligarchic and anti-European parties.
