President Maia Sandu spent 39,500 lei on working visits paid during the last three months of 2021. The largest amount, of 26,800 lei, was spent by the presidential delegation during the trip made to France to take part in the Paris Peace Forum, during November 11-13, 2021, IPN reports.
According to the report on working trips made abroad by personnel of the President’s Office in the fourth quarter of last year, of the 26,800 lei spent on the trip to France, 4,300 lei went on daily allowances, 9,300 lei on accommodation, while 13,200 lei on plane tickets. The delegation consisted of President Maia Sandu and secretary general of the President’s Office Cristina Gherasimov, IPN reports.
For the trip to Belgium, Brussels, and for the participation in the Eastern Partnership Summit of December 14-16, the Moldovan delegation that included President Sandu and secretary general Gherasimov spent 8,200 lei.
The Moldovan delegation’s official working visit to Bucharest of November 22-23 cost only 4,500 lei. The delegation consisted of President Sandu, secretary general Gherasimov, adviser for public communication and spokeswoman for the President Sorina Ștefîrță and senior media relations specialist of the Presidential Administration’s Communication and Protocol Division Alexandru Vdovichenko.
