“Our program includes harsh and radical actions that no one in the Republic of Moldova has undertaken until now,” Violeta Ivanov, the Shor Party’s candidate for President, said in the event to start her election campaign. She noted that her electoral program “Moldova 20-24” includes concrete actions and transformations in vital areas of the state. The event was held at the party’s head office and involved the MPs of the Shor Party. The party’s leader Ilan Shor took part through teleconferencing, IPN reports.

Violeta Ivanov said her program has four components, namely: infrastructure and regional development; agriculture; social protection and health, and the fight against corruption. Each component is divided into sections, with clear views, actions and indicators. “The concentration on the achievement of the set objectives will enable to revitalize and reconstruct the country’s economy as namely a powerful economy can ensure the country’s prosperity and higher living standards for the people,” stated the candidate.

The politician aims to attract investments that are the driving force of the economy, according to her. “To attract investments, we need to develop local infrastructure so as to have good roads, lighting infrastructure and developed social services. Namely this way, foreign investment was attracted to Orhei and this ensures well-paid jobs not only for the residents of Orhei, but also for people who live in the neighboring districts. This is how they work in Taraclia and in other localities with mayors who form part of the team of the Shor Party,” stated Violeta Ivanov.

Through teleconferencing, Ilan Shor said only those who do not want changes in Moldova and accept the situation of having bad roads, small pensions and salaries, dark localities will not vote for Violeta Ivanov. His team already showed in all the localities they manage that they do concrete things for the people. They know how to complement the budget, how to build state factors and to create jobs and ensure a minimum pension of 5,000 lei so that everyone has guaranteed state income.

The party’s vice president Marina Tauber said the local elected officials and their teams showed that the people can live better and the country can be more developed. “We can live better than in Europe. We have mayors, district heads, a parliamentary group with nine members. But now we have the chance of also having the best President of the Republic of Moldova,” stated the MP.

The campaign prior to the presidential elections of November 1 began on October 2. The race involves six candidates: Renato Usatîi of Our Party, Andrei Năstase of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, Tudor Deliu of the Liberal Democratic Party, independent candidate Igor Dodon, Violeta Ivanov of the Shor Party and Maia Sandu of the Party of Action and Solidarity. The Central Electing Commission is to decide on the registration of two more aspirants: Octavian Țîcu of the National Unity Party and Dorin Chirtoacă of the UNION Electoral Bloc.
