“Together we will build a European Chisinau,” said Victor Chironda, the candidate of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” for the post of mayor of Chisinau. He called on the citizens of Chisinau to vote for him and for his team of candidates for the post of municipal councilor. In a news conference, Victor Chironda said that it depends on the professional and moral qualities of the people who obtain seats on the Chisinau Municipal Council whether Chisinau will have a pro-European, transparent administration that will center on sustainable development or will continue the path of politicization, interest group decisions and the endless and useless scandals.
“The setting of priorities for allocating budgets, monitoring of municipal enterprises’ work, management of lots and property of the city, adoption of strategic development documents, approval of partnerships and investments in Chisinau depend on this institution,” said the candidate, being quoted by IPN.
Victor Chironda stated that in the current election campaign and in discussions with citizens, he received a lot of messages of support and was assured that the people will vote for him. “I know that a lot of the inhabitants of Chisinau will vote for me as a candidate for mayor, but to be able to work effectively in this post, I also need solid support in the Chisinau Municipal Council. I need a team that will work with me and will help me to promote and adopt decisions and the necessary projects to solve the problems of the inhabitants of Chisinau,” noted the election contender.
According to him, his team consists of people who in their work showed that they are competent, professionals and, what is most important, are upright and well-intentioned. These are members of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, including its leader, and politically unaffiliated candidates.
