Veronica Bacalu has two ways out of situation, Anti-Mafia Movement

Veronica Bacalu has only two ways out of the situation – the honorable one – not to accept to run for President and to face the mafia that fielded her for the presidency, and to become a national hero thus, and the embarrassing one – to become an accomplice of the mafia, the leader of the Anti-Mafia Movement Sergiu Mocanu said in a news conference, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to Sergiu Mocanu, Veronica Bacalu during half a year may become head of state and a national hero if she comes to Chisinau to deal with the mafia that put her forward for President. When back to Chisinau, Bacalu should analyze for a while the deeds of the mafia so as to be able to plan the further actions. “As she was proposed by them, she has the chance to face them and become a national leader, if she is able to and wants to. If she does not, she should refuse to run,” said Sergiu Mocanu. He also said that if Veronica Bacalu chooses the second solution, she will become the accomplice of the Moldovan mafia and will join the dishonorable ranks of the candidates for the presidency. “Anyone in this country who would accept to run for President will be like a gladiator who hopes to take the place of the masters if they fight well in the ring. I mean masters Plahotniuc and Filat,” said Sergiu Mocanu. The leader of the Anti-Mafia Movement stated that the present situation is nothing else but a game played by Vlad Plahotniuc, who aims to increase his property and strengthen his position in the judicial system. The former deputy governor of the National Bank of Moldova Veronica Bacalu was fielded for the presidency by the Liberal Democratic Party and the Democratic Party. The candidate wasn’t accepted by the Liberal Party.
