Border guard Veniamin Borzin won silver at an international freestyle wrestling tournament. He ranked second in the 65 kg weight category, IPN reports.
“Our colleague once again showed strength, courage and determination to be among the best. Your effort and determination are appreciated by the Border Police’s team. We are proud to have in our ranks such a talented coworker who is devoted to professional sports,” the Border Police said in a post.
The event is held in Chisinau as part of the International Wrestling Tournament in memory of Nicolae Oriol, an emeritus coach of the Republic of Moldova, during February 8-10, 2024.
