The Centrist Union Party (UCM) is uncertain whether it will accept members of Patria-Rodina (PUMPR) on its electoral list. Still UCM neither rules out the possibility and will decide later, Info-Prim Neo reports.
UCM's leader Vasile Tarlev acknowledged at a news conference Thursday he had talked with PUMPR's leader Gheorghe Sima, and other other politicians on possible mergers, but decided to go each their own way towards the common goal.
According to Vasile Tarlev, although the UCM is willing to cooperate with parties sharing its views, the parties wanting to join the UCM shall well argue their merging wish.
Vasile Tarlev is certain UCM will get into the Parliament ands will have weight enough to influence the country's well-being, promoting the idea that the President shall be elected by all the people, not by the Parliament.
Patria-Rodina Labor Movement (PUMPR) leaders told a a news conference Thursday they want to merge with the UCM.
Also the People's Republican Party stated last week it wanted to join the UCM.
Vasile Tarlev has launched his web-site through he wants to dialog with society. In his opinion, the site pursues to promote the interests of the Moldovan society.
The politician says the site is in two languages – official and Russian – and thinks of translating it into English.
