If society does not penalize the politicians by vote, it means that the people learned nothing from this political crisis, the chairman of the Community Party “Democratia Acasa” (“Democracy at Home”) Vasile Costiuc said in the public debate ”Culture of political crisis: views and roles of extra-parliamentary parties in the process of overcoming and communication with society”, which was organized by IPN.
The politician considers that society should have a natural reaction to the information it receives. He referred to the fatal wounding incident in the Domneasca Forest, which involved public functionaries. “I want to see how society will react to such news in the next elections. I want to see how those who humiliated us will be penalized,” said Vasile Costiuc.
According to him, there is a danger that society will not be healthier even in five years as the students, instead of being better and following other examples and other political idols, look with admiration at what Vlad Plahotniuc and Vlad Filat do.
Vasile Costiuc believes that the early legislative elections are the solution to the political crisis because the politicians are not trusted. They negotiate from behind and share the spheres of influence, destroying thus the confidence. “I withdraw the vote I cast three years ago and I want them to no longer negotiate in my name. The word ‘negotiations’ seems strange to me. They are a council of bandits in a dangerous format as they are the top of the pyramid and must guarantee the observance of the Constitution in this state,” he said.
”Our society has access to information. If the situation repeats in the next elections and there will be no change, we must not complain that the country is managed inappropriately,” said Vasile Costiuc.
The debate ”Culture of political crisis: views and roles of extra-parliamentary parties in the process of overcoming and communication with society” is the 14th of the series of public debates held by IPN News Agency within the project “Development of political culture by public debates,” which is supported by Hanns Seidel Foundation.
