Value of MPay transactions exceeds 100m lei

The transactions by the Governmental Service for Electronic Payments MPay, which was launched last September, exceeded 101 million lei, with a record of 1.4 million lei being collected daily, IPN reports.

According to the E-Government Center, the electronic payments represent one of the echoes of the remarkable development of the ICT sector whose benefits are felt by all the sides involve in an economic transaction, from en-users to companies, banks and even the central and local authorities.

MPay allows citizens to pay services through any legal payment instrument available in Moldova, incluidng credit cards, payment terminals, e-banking systems, cash payments (when paying in cash, citizens can go to counters of connected banks or Posta Moldovei offices).

The range of services connected to MPay was extended and now includes e-Cadastr, e-Apostille, e- Criminal Record, e-Civil Status, Register, Police Fines, Procurement of livestock identification means, Tax service, Transport Authorizations, e-AGEPI, e- licensing, and Electronic Statement.
