Several types of real estate will be valuated this year for being taxed, Info-Prim Neo reports. Valeriu Ganju, vice director of the company “Cadastru”, said that the realty that will be valuated includes garages built by cooperatives, plots of agricultural associations and commercial facilities. The zonal cadastre offices so far have determined the market value of 49,000 garages, 70,000 plots owned by agricultural associations and 70,000 commercial facilities. “The mass valuation of this realty was practically finished. But we face a series of problems in determining the entities and individuals that should be taxed as a part of this property was not included in the Cadastre. We repeatedly asked the local public authorities to make an inventory and provide us with the list of owners or holders of rights over these facilities. We even sent them letters, asking that they present these lists by September. This will allow us to generalize the information and submit it to the State Tax Service according to the schedule, by February 1, 2010,” Ganju said. Under to the Fiscal Code, the second stage of the switch to taxation according to the market value of the facilities will take place in 2010. The first stage was initiated in 2008, when the new taxation method was applied to apartments and houses in municipalities and towns. The mass valuation of the houses located in rural areas will start also in 2010. “We are now working on the methodology of valuing this type of property. It will be finalized by December 31. The valuation of the agricultural land with constructions on it that started in 2008 will be completed next year. About 30,000 facilities from this category – farms, storehouses, barns, sheds and other constrictions – have been identified so far,” Ganju added.
