The deputy chairman of the PLDM Valeriu Strelet does not rule out the possibility that the governor of the National Bank of Moldova Dorin Dragutanu will be dismissed and a parliamentary majority will be formed in the near future. Such statements were made in the talk show “Fourth power” on N4 TV channel, IPN reports.

Speaking about the possible dismissal of Dragutanu, the Liberal-Democrat said that if the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the situation on the financial market finds Dragutanu guilty of the created situation, he can be dismissed. “Personally, I have objections to the way Dragutanu fulfills his duties. The central bank had enough instruments to prevent or stop such a situation. We offered the National Bank of Moldova serious instruments that can be applied immediately, to stop considerable amounts of money from going out of the country. The bank didn’t use these instruments,” stated Valeriu Strelet.

As to the formation of a new alliance, Valeriu Strelet said there are all the chances to form a parliamentary majority in the near future, but didn’t specify the parties that will form part of this majority.

Speaking about the PL, Valeriu Strelet leveled serious criticism at the Liberals for not making the necessary effort to form the ruling alliance. As to the PCRM, he said this party will not be allowed to manage a state institution. “Our goal is to remove any political control over state institutions, except for the Central Election Commission, where each parliamentary party is represented by its own delegates,” he said.
