Valeriu Munteanu, candidate of Save Bessarabia Union (USB) for the position of mayor of Chisinau municipality, together with the candidates for Chisinau city council, entered today, September 21, the election campaign, IPN reports.
According to Valeriu Munteanu, Chisinau municipality, with a population of almost one million people, is in great danger. "Please make an effort and go to the polls on Sunday, October 20, 2019, to vote for me and for the candidates of Save Bessarabia Union. I know I ask a lot of you, but please think twice. These elections are the last chance for Chisinau and Bessarabia”, says Valeriu Munteanu.
According to him, if Chisinau surrenders on Sunday, October 20, then people's hopes will be buried for decades, for generations, or maybe forever.
"We will push away across the Dniester the Kremlin agents that have been infiltrated everywhere, with the support of the PSRM-ACUM coalition. We will lay the foundation of ensuring the freedom, dignity and prosperity of all Bessarabians. These goals are normal in the Euro-Atlantic world where we belong to de jure, but in Chisinau they just seem like dreams. Normality can only be ensured by joining the EU and NATO and only by uniting Bessarabia with the Motherland - Romania”, declared Valeriu Munteanu.
He also says that "of all the important candidates", he is the only one who has ever been mayor. "I know what local public administration means, what it means to draw up a budget and draft local council decisions, or to negotiate with councillors. I know what it means to start a project for the welfare of the community and bring it to fruition.”
Valeriu Munteanu has already been registered as candidate for mayoralty by the Chisinau Constituency Electoral Council.
General local elections will be held on October 20.
