The reconstruction works of the fountain near the "Valea Trandafirilor" park in the Botanica sector have been completed. At the inauguration, the fountain area will become a pedestrian space. People will be able to walk and have fun among the water jets, which are synchronized with music and decorative lighting.
Asked by IPN, the head of the Planning and Sanitation department of the General Directorate for Housing and Communal Development, Vasile Efros, answered that the fountain will be inaugurated on Sunday, August 25, at 20.00. The dusk will allow the musical fountain with artistic lighting to be displayed to the public in all its splendor. All Chișinău residents and guests of the capital are invited to the event.
The surrounding area has been refurbished as well. Landscape night lighting, urban furniture and a children's playground were installed in the immediate vicinity of the fountain. Additionally, the green areas have been rehabilitated, the access roads to the fountain have been renovated and special infrastructure for carts and people moving in wheelchairs has been built.
The cost of the project is 5.6 million lei and is covered by the municipal budget.
