The popular beach on the Nistru River in the Chisinau suburban town of Vadul lui Vodă is officially opening on May 25 with festive activities throughout the day.
The activities will start at 2:00 p.m. with a musical show by the beach and will last until 10:00 p.m. The lineup includes folk singer Igor Cuciuc, Vladimir Fotescu and the Avanti Orchestra, Mărțișor Folk Dance Ensemble, pop singer Sergiu Țurcanu, and DJ Sergiu Bulgar.
On the beach, several areas are set up for sports, including basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, chess, and a workout area. Playgrounds have also been installed for children.
The Chisinau City Hall says that on May 25 the number of buses on route 31 which goes to Vadul lui Vodă will be supplemented, with extra trips added before the start of the concert, and also in the evening after the event. The last bus will leave the beach stop at 22:35.
