The candidate for mayor of Chisinau of the European Social Democratic Party (PSDE) Vadim Brînzaniuc undertook to bring the capital city to the forefront and to ensure the development and brightness it deserves. “We know what we need to do and know how to do it. I want Chisinau to be the second Romanian city by size, to be developed and comfortable, as the cities in the European Union are,” the candidate stated in the launch of his election campaign, IPN reports.
The launch was held in “Alunelul” Park of Buiucani district, which was rehabilitated when Vadim Brînzaniuc served as head of this district. Among his priorities, the candidate enumerated the building of overground passages and radial roads to decongest the city, setting up of parking lots, rehabilitation of the housing stock and thermal insulation of buildings, extension and building of schools and kindergartens and development of the suburbs.
The candidate also promised to build in Chisinau a football pitch according to the FIFA standards, with the capacity of at least 25,000 places and with the necessary sports infrastructure, similar to those existing in all the large cities of the region.
Attending the event, PSDE chairman Ion Sula said the elections in Chisinau are not only about decent living conditions, safety and comfort. “The elections in Chisinau play one more extremely important role. The capital city is the heart of the country and the main benchmark for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. Chisinau has always set the tone and defined the trajectory and directions of movement for the whole society because, as it is normal, the capital city is the locomotive that pulls the whole state train,” noted Ion Sula.
As it was decided by draw, Vadim Brînzaniuc of the European Social Democratic Party will be the eighth candidate in the list on the ballot.
