Vadim Brînzaniuc is PSDE’s candidate for mayoralty of Chisinau

The former head of Buiucani district Vadim Brînzaniuc is the European Social Democratic Party’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau. In a news conference, PSDE chairman Ion Sula said that Vadim Brînzaniuc heads the party’s municipal organization and is also the party’s deputy chairman, IPN reports.

“He has rather rich experience in local public administration. He will be a good mayor and I and my mates are sure that he is the most suitable candidate on behalf of the European Social Democratic Party,” stated Ion Sula.

For his part, Vadim Brînzaniuc said that his team realizes the responsibility entrusted to them as they aim to come before the citizens with a serious political and administrative program and to together lay the basis for the swift and sustainable development of the capital city. “As you know, I have a rich experience in the field as furring many years I worked in administration and know well the problems from inside. As the head of Buiucani district, I managed to implement a number of important projects and know exactly how to act to ensure the wellbeing of our citizens, Furthermore, in the recent past I have served as an adviser to the mayor in sector 4 of Bucharest municipality,” said the deputy chairman of the PSDE.

Vadim Brînzaniuc came to the Chisinau City Hall when this was managed by Dorin Chirtoacă. He headed the City Hall’s Public Relations Division for a period. In 2019, when Ruslan Codreanu served as acting mayor, Vadim Brînzaniuc was named head of Buiucani district and he occupied this post until March 2022.

Four parties have presented their candidates for mayor general of the municipality of Chisinau so far. The Party ofAaction and Solidarity fielded MP Lilian Carp, PAS deputy chairman; the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” – ex-deputy mayor of Chisinau Victor Chironda; the Coalition for Unity and Welfare – the head of the party’s Youth Organization Ion Bulgac, while the Liberal Party – deputy chairman Ion Purice.
