The Moldova State University (USM) will host polling stations for Romania’s presidential and parliamentary elections of November-December 2024. Organizational details were discussed on Wednesday at a meeting of the USM rector Igor Sharov with the Consul General of Romania in Chisinau Mausela Pițigoi and Deputy Consul Adrian-Nicolae Georgescu, IPN reports.
Igor Sharov said that the University’s administration will ensure the smooth running of the elections, reaffirming their commitment to the community and democracy. He stressed that this approach reflects the close cooperation and commitment to civic engagement, thus facilitating the Romanian citizens’ participation in elections.
The rector thanked the official from Bucharest for the support offered by the Romanian state to the Moldova State University through multiple development and research projects, which benefit Moldovan students and teachers.
