The Moldova State University (USM) and the University of Bucharest (UniBuc) develop the cooperation relations. The two institutions will be able to exchange students, teachers and good practices. A university extension will be founded in Chisinau. This will be possible thanks to two agreements that were signed by the rectors of the two universities, IPN reports.
USM rector Igor Sharov and the rector of the University of Bucharest Marian Preda agreed to initiate a university extension at the Moldova State University for the master’s program “Pastoral Care and Liturgical Life” by signing an agreement to this effect on May 16. The university extension will be founded in Chisinau by the University of Bucharest with the support of the Moldova State University. This will work based on the partnership between the two institutions in the teaching, scientific, cultural and social fields.
The program of study at the university extension will be financed in accordance with the legislation of Romania. This way, the University of Bucharest will offer the university extension education programs, support for courses, seminars and laboratories and a part of the necessary logistics, which will all be identical to the similar program of study implemented at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology “Justinian Patriarhul” of the University in Bucharest. The program of study of the extension is to be accredited by the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
The second agreement of cooperation will enable the institutions to implement joint projects. The USM and UniBuc will exchange teachers, students, researchers, academic and specialty material and information about the programs of study and teaching technologies. They could also stage together international scientific conferences, programs and exhibitions and publish articles and reports.
