President of Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) Serafim Urecheanu and AMN parliamentarian Ion Plesca are subpoenaed Tuesday to the General Prosecutor's Office to be heard as suspects in the penal case on the alleged attempt of murdering the deputy speaker of Parliament, the leader of the People's Christian Democratic Party, Iurie Rosca, Info-Prim Neo quotes a release issued by AMN. “An unacceptable allusion has turned into an official quality of a suspect. Although totally not trusting the law-enforcement bodies subordinated to the Communists and accusing them of executing political commissions, in order to underline they observe the law, the two politicians will go for the hearings,” reads AMN's communique. AMN also announces that, having new details as to the fabrication of that file, before going to discuss with the prosecutors, Serafim Urecheanu and Ion Plesca will make statements for media. The two AMN parliamentarians cannot be held up by law-enforcers since they have parliamentary immunity. AMN does not exclude that the prosecutor's office will ask for lifting their immunity. “In the context of this offensive against the AMN exponents, it is possible that the General Prosecutor's Office asks to lift their immunity at the first sitting of the Parliament soon, thus affecting AMN's leadership in the wake of the parliamentary elections,” the communique specifies. The general prosecutor and the deputy minister of interior stated on January 15 that someone would allegedly have commissioned the murder of Iurie Rosca, but the hired killer gave up and phoned Rosca. According to the law enforcing top officers, the assassin would have talk over the phone with Serafim Urecheanu, Ion Plesca and the former director of the Service of Security and Information, Valeriu Pasat, now in Moscow. On January 16, the AMN deputies showed video images to media, which would allegedly prove that the police would have put evidence incriminating objects in a bar where the would-be killer would have received a part of the money and a gun. In a week the Prosecutor's Office and the Interior Ministry refuted the statements of AMN that the police would fabricate evidence in the case of preparing the alleged murder of Iurie Rosca. Urecheanu and Plesca sued the general prosecutor and the deputy minister of interior for breeching their presumption of innocence, slander and false statements.
