Forecasters issued a yellow code advisory for unstable weather for the period between midday on May 18 and 2pm on May 19, IPN reports.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, there will be heavy showers accompanied by thunder and lightning and hail and winds of 17 to 22 meters per second in parts.
Daytime temperatures in northern Moldova on May 18 will rise to 25 degrees Celsius, while in southern Moldova to 27 degrees Celsius. The next days the temperatures will vary between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius. Next week is expected to be rainy.
