Unidentified man hospitalized after an accident in Cojusna

A man whose identity couldn’t be established was hospitalized in the local infirmary of Straseni, after suffering multiple severe injuries in a traffic accident near Cojusna village. Traffic Police PR Service specialist Tudor Capatana told Info-Prim Neo the crash happened around midnight, on the 13th kilometer of Chisinau-Ungheni road. The victim was hit by a VAZ-2108 vehicle driven in high gear by a 29-year-old man. At about 1.30, in the outskirts of Comrat, an Audi A4 went the wrong way and collided with a Volvo truck. The Audi driver broke his foot and suffered other injuries and was placed in the Comrat Hospital. On the main road from Colonita community, a 14-year-old boy fell off his motorbike. The boy, who had no driving license, lost control of the motorbike, hit the kerb and fell. He was hospitalized with forearm fractures and other minor traumas. The driver of a VAZ-21013 vehicle and his passenger, both aged 26, were hospitalized after the car crashed into a tree, in Ungheni. Two other persons were injured in Orhei, after a 23-year-old man riding a motorcycle collided with a 40-year-old bicyclist. Over the last 24 hours, 8 accidents that injured 10 persons and 25 other accidents without any victims were registered on Moldova's roads. Traffic officers issued 426 fines, including 7 for drunk driving, 19 cases of driving without the safety belt and 77 infringements of the speed limit.
