UNICEF donates protective equipment for Chisinau schools and kindergartens

As of August 25, all the general education institutions in the municipality of Chisinau have received disinfectants and hygiene products provided by UNICEF with financial support from USAID, IPN reports.

Deputy mayor of Chisinau Angela Kutasevici, in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, said the schools and kindergartens received over 4,600 liters of liquid soap, over 100,000 bars of solid soap and more than 4,600 liters of liquid hand sanitizers.

In total, 331 general education institutions of the municipality received sanitizers and hygiene products. Basic hygiene products and disinfectants were supplied to all the educational entities of the municipality, for about 130 students and preschoolers.

The donation forms part of the COVID-19 Prevention and Response Program that is financed by the U.S. Agency for International Development and is implemented by UNICEF Moldova.
