Ukrainian Ambassador Petro Cealyi departs Moldova

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova has completed his diplomatic mission. On this occasion, Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin conferred on Cealyi the “Order of Honour”.
The head of state remarked the improvement of Moldova-Ukraine dialogue on different aspects in Petro Cealyi six-year tour as the head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission to Chisinau.
During a meeting of the ambassador with Vasile Tarlev, the Premier underlined the necessity of intensifying the joint efforts in cooperating in commercial-economic field, especially in energy. Tarlev recalled the construction of the high tension line Novodnestrovsk-Balti, completion of the process of recognising Moldova’s property in Ukraine, opening of the green corridor for perishables. The Prime Minister also referred to the opportunity of successfully completing the border demarcation, creation of joint border crossing points for the citizens in the transborder zones, reanimation of railway line Berezino-Basarabeasca etc.
Ambassador Petro Cealyi gave assurances that his successor will continue the policy intended to develop Moldova-Ukraine relations.
