Nichita Jalba and Dorina Midrigan were the first voters at polling station no. 210, opened in Washington, DC, according to IPN.

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the United States reported that the young voters cast their ballots at 7:00 AM local time. "They came from Ocean City because they don't want others to decide their future. Do the same! Your voice counts!" the diplomatic mission stated.

The President of the Central Electoral Commission, Angelica Caraman, noted that polling stations abroad are fully operational, with the exception of four stations: one in Canada and three in the U.S., which will begin operating at 5:00 PM Chișinău time.

Polling stations abroad are open until 9:00 PM local time in each country.
