The Public Amenities Division of the Chisinau City Hall this autumn will set up two squares – one at 26/4 Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd and another one on Ciocârliei St, IPN reports.
The head of the Division’s Territorial Development Section Vasile Efros said the square from Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd is situated on the site of a former parking lot that was removed by a decision of the Chisinau Municipal Council.
Both of the squares will have several alleys, urban furniture and lighting systems. On Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd, there will be laid out playgrounds and fitness grounds for adults, while on Ciocârliei St, there will be also built a basketball court.
Playgrounds in yards of apartment buildings continue to be set up. Eleven playing complexes were installed until now in the framework of the project “Comfortable Yard”. Nine fitness grounds were made available at different addresses in the districts of the capital city.
Recently, the Public Amenities Division laid out a flour bed with a playground with rubber surface in the square on Academiei St in Telecentru Quarter. An irrigation system was set up there. The Centru district head’s office placed paving and installed urban furniture.
