Rescuers took two persons out of debris as a result of a blast that occurred in a house in the municipality of Cahul early this morning. The explosion was presumably caused by a natural gas leak from a heater, IPN reports.
The General Inspectorate for Emergence Situations said that three teams of rescuers and fighters were sent to the scene. They managed to take alive two persons out of the fragments of the fully destroyed house. The 72-year-old woman in a state of shock and the man aged 57 who suffered burns were admitted to the district hospital
Elements of buildings situated nearby were also damaged. An investigation is underway to find out the exact cause of the blast.
