The number of healthcare workers who lost the battle with COVID-19 rose to 75. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection on February 3 reported two more deaths among employees of the health system – a senior nurse of the Criuleni District Hospital and a dermatologist-venereologist of the Ialoveni District Hospital, PN reports.
Among the 18 new victims announced yesterday is a young man aged 30 from Fălești district. He suffered from arterial hypertension, obesity and cardiopathy.
The number of infections confirmed on February 3 is much higher than the figure for February 2. Of the 3,302 tests done yesterday, 917 were positive. One day earlier, the virus was detected in only 639 of the 2,564 performed tests.
Of the 2,472 patients with COVID-19 who are now hospitalized, 240 are in a very serious state. Forty-three patients were put on a ventilator.
As many as 3,248 persons with mild and moderate forms of COVID-19 are receiving treatment at home, while 15,428 are under supervision at home.
