Two more cases of infection with COVID-19 have been confirmed in Moldova, with the number of infections rising to six. Initially, the authorities provided information about the sex and age of the infected persons, but now refuse to give such details, arguing the persons could be identified, IPN reports.
Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu, after the meeting of the Single Command Center, said that the last two infected persons also returned recently from Italy. The patients’ state of health is medium grave.
The minister noted that the mother and child, who yesterday evening left the Municipal Children’s Infectious Diseases Hospital “M. Lomonosov”, were identified and samples were taken from them for testing.
Minister of the Interior Pavel Voicu said the number of people who return to Moldova from the EU decreased, but the number of persons who return via Ukraine goes up. Three persons with symptoms of the novel coronavirus have been taken to the hospital during the last 24 hours.
