Two residents of Chisinau aged 40 were arrested for illegally selling tickets for the October 9 encounter between Moldova and Russia. According to the police, these sold tickets near the Chisinau stadium “Zimbru”, where the match will take place, IPN reports.
Employees of the Economic Frauds Division of the National Investigations Inspectorate established that the men sold tickets at the price of 450 lei at a time when these cost 100 lei at box offices. As a result of searches, the police found 24 tickets and 1,500 lei earned from the sale of tickets. The two men face a fine of up to 3,000 lei.
The tickets for the match between Moldova and Russia were sold during two days. These cost 50 to 400 lei, depending on the position in the stands.
