Moldova won two medals at the World Cadet Wrestling Championships, taking place in Bulgaria.
Greco-Roman wrestler Gabriel Lupasco won four victories in the 80 kg weight category, against India’s Rohit, Georgia’s Beca Kobuladze, Finland’s Jonni Kunnari Sarkkinen and Kazakhstan’s Maxat Sailau. In the last act, Gabriel Lupasco was defeated by Ukrainian Mykyta Alieksieiev.
In the 71 kg category another Greco-Roman wrestler Alexandrin Gutu climbed to the third step of the podium. He lost only to the Iranian Reza Rajab Ali Saki, who went on to take gold. In the match for the bronze medal Alexandrin defeated Rauf Abdulla Aliyev 6:0. Last year Alexandrin Gutu became world champion among cadets.
