Travel permits for crossing Moldovan border when ID papers expired

The Moldovans and foreigners who stay legally in Moldova will be able to enter the country using a travel permit issued by Moldova’s embassies and consular offices. This will happen when the person does not have valid identification papers, Info-Prim Neo reports. The given amendments to the legislation that regulates the state border crossing procedure were approved by the Government at the suggestion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. The travel permit will be valid for 30 days. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Moldova’s embassies and consular offices in 2010 issued 21,500 travel permits.
