Following a crisis meeting in Tiraspol, new measures were announced to address the energy crisis and support the population. Key decisions include changes to the work schedules of enterprises, adjustments in the healthcare system, social aid provisions, and updated electricity outage intervals, IPN reports.

Enterprises Transition to Night Shifts

In light of the energy crisis, certain enterprises will operate during nighttime hours to reduce the strain on power grids. From midnight to 6 a.m., companies such as "Elektromash," "Odema," and "Intercentre Lux" will run operations to maintain production and stabilize the energy grid. These measures aim to better distribute energy consumption. Additionally, authorities discussed organizing night shifts at kindergartens to accommodate parents working overnight shifts.

Healthcare Sector Updates

Cristina Albu, the healthcare sector representative, reported that hospitals currently house 1,490 patients, including 89 receiving tuberculosis treatment and 179 with psychoneurological conditions. Over the past days, ambulance services responded to 414 calls, and 5,000 individuals received consultations at clinics and other healthcare facilities. "Medical assistance is now provided to all citizens regardless of their registered address", emphasized Albu.

Three Power Outage Intervals

In addition to measures targeting industrial enterprises, Transnistrian authorities confirmed that institutions ensuring food security, such as markets and public food services, will continue operating without disruption while adhering to the region's centralized power outage schedule. According to the updated strategy, outages will occur once daily for five hours in the following intervals: 8:00–13:00, 13:00–18:00, and 18:00–23:00.

Support for Vulnerable Populations

For those in need, particularly during colder weather, Transnistria’s social affairs department announced that 1,198 individuals are housed in 13 social institutions offering adequate living conditions, including meals and temperature-controlled environments. Additionally, 85 volunteers and support groups are actively assisting vulnerable populations.

Authorities also reported that in the past 24 hours, there were 93 electrical network incidents and 65 heating system malfunctions. Since the start of the crisis, the emergency service has received 8,325 calls, many concerning energy supply issues and firewood distribution. To date, 252 firewood deliveries have been made to those in need.
