The authorities in the Transnistrian region have imposed restrictions on the use of minibuses. From this year, the use of vehicles older than 15 is banned. This term will be gradually reduced to 10 years, Info-Prim-Neo’s correspondent in Tiraspol reports. This decision will enable to steadily modernize the minibus companies, said Dmitri Margarint, the head of the state motor department of the region. He said that over half of the minibuses that work in Tiraspol at present have been converted from trucks into maxi-taxis and this endangers passengers’ security.
