Former patent holders disapprove of the shortcomings existing in the process of annulling the patent for trading activities. The sales slip the traders need to issue in accordance with the new rules contains personal data and the traders can become the target of offenders this way, said Eleonora Țurcanu-Herghelegiu, a former patentee.

In a news conference hosted by IPN, Eleonora Țurcanu-Herghelegiu said that those from the State Tax Service tell the former patentees it is not serious if personal data, including the 13-digit IDNP, are shown on the sales slip. They suggest covering these data with a marker or cutting them with the scissors.

Eleonora Țurcanu-Herghelegiu accused the senior administration of ignorance in the case of the laws that are designed to protect the citizens from offenders, the laws on the protection of personal data, which are promoted by the National Center for Personal Data Protection.

Eleonora Țurcanu-Herghelegiu also said that for over a year, former patentees have sought to meet with Minister of Economic Development and Digitization Dumitru Alaiba, asking him to talk to them, but they are not heard. That’s why the problem of patentees is to be examined by the Constitutional Court, following a request made by BCS MPs.

The former patentee called on their mates who work in markets, those with cash register and those who haven’t yet managed to comply with the new legislation, pensioners, persons with disabilities and young people, to mobilize and come to the Constitutional Court in Chisinau when the given issue will be examined so as to defend the rights to work and life
.

Olga Chapki, former patentee, noted that Moldova is plunged into poverty, injustice and dictatorship. Only when the citizens combine forces, they will be heard. The people who are not indifferent to the raised issue, the press should come to the Constitutional Court to support the former patentees. “We do not have any chance. We either remain vertical or will turn into a colony after which it will be hard to restore something holy on his piece of land,” stated Olga Chapki.
