The places of interest for tourists in Chisinau could be visited by trolleybus. The National Inbound Tourism Association of Moldova and the Chisinau Electric Transport Company are considering the possibility of establishing a partnership for launching two itineraries that would connect a number of local tourist attractions.
Contacted by IPN for details, National Inbound Tourism Association executive director Natalia Țurcanu said tours by trolleybus will be organized on the weekend. The trolleybuses will set off from the ATU Winery, from near the Chisinau International Airport, and will travel up to the Cricova Winery.
A guide on each unit of transport will tell tourists about architectural monuments and other tourist attractions. A trial period with free rides will start within three weeks. If the testing is favorable, the tours will be launched officially at the start of July and ticket prices will be set.
