The “Tiras-Tighina”1992 War Veterans Association calls on the citizens of the Republic of Moldova in the country and abroad to vote actively in the November 15 presidential runoff so as to remove Igor Dodon from the presidency.

In a news conference at IPN, “Tiras-Tighina” head Anatolie Caraman addressed the incumbent President. “One - you said: “I will scrap the Association Agreement with the EU”, zero; “I will outlaw the Romanians”, meaning the unionists who represent 30-33% of the population of the Republic of Moldova, and unsuccessfully. Three – “I will federalize the Republic of Moldova and will disband the national army”, you fooled Putin. Four – you promises and did it – you withdrew the nationality of the Republic of Moldova from Traian Băsescu, human foolishness!”, stated Anatolie Caraman.

The Association’s head also gave other examples, saying Igor Dodon promised to bring home 700,000 Moldovans who work in Russia. “These continue to live there, do not have the nationality of the Republic of Moldova and cannot vote. So, they cannot be brought home,” stated Anatolie Caraman. According to him, Igor Dodon divided society into “ours and yours” and made a call for a civil war by threatening “don’t play with the fire as I have 52%”.

Anatolie Caraman criticized Igor Dodon for inviting the Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselski to Chisinau and for calling him “president”, for laying flowers at the graves of occupants who attacked the Republic of Moldova in 1992.

Jurist Alexandru Banari, a member of “Tiras-Tighina”, addressed all the citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are eligible to vote. “It’s time to remove the traitor who is called by the people “Kulyok Igor Kremlinovici”. We ask the citizens of the Republic of Moldova in the country and abroad to mobilize and take an active part in the November 15 runoff vote,” stated Alexandru Banari.

He noted that the members of the
“Tiras-Tighina”1992 War Veterans Association are not politically affiliated and do not campaign in favor of any of the electoral contenders, but they consider Igor Dodon “a traitor of nation and country” and believe he should leave. “We do not urge destabilization and interethnic hatred as he does through the leaflets distributed to the citizens, shifting all his sins onto his opponent,” said Alexandru Banari.
