Tickets to sanatorium for participants in Chernobyl cleanup

The participants in the Chernobyl cleanup and their children have the annual right, outside the list, to free tickets (in case of medical indications) to sanatoriums situated in the Republic of Moldova and also in Ukraine, the National House of Social Insurance has said. In Ukraine, free tickets are provided to the sanatoriums “Moldova” (Truscaveț), “Sănătatea”, “Serghei Lazo” and “Zolotaia Niva” (Sergheevca), IPN reports.

If the purchase and provision of the free ticket is not possible in accordance with the specialization of the recommended sanatorium, the beneficiary has the right to compensation equal to the average price of the ticket starting with the second quarter of the year. The same happens if there are medical contraindications concerning sanatorium treatment according to the medical conclusion issued based on records from the medical card of the ambulatory patient (Form No. 025/e) or from the child development card (Form No. 112/e).

The average price of a ticket for grownups in 2021 was 7,115. lei; for children aged between 14 and 18 – 6,572 lei; for children aged between 7 and 14 – 5,437 lei while for children aged between 4 and 7 – 3,942 lei.

To receive sanatorium treatment tickets through the National House of Social Insurance or compensation, the persons must file an application to the local house of social insurance, according to the domicile address, and attach the required documents.
