Three inclusive education units will be equipped and prepared for the successful integration of children with severe disabilities in 2025. These units will be set up in schools with a larger number of children with disabilities, but which have all the necessary services for these children, Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun said at a news conference, quoted by IPN.

"We want the good experience that exists today in Ialoveni, in “Petre Ștefănucă High School”, to be replicated in at least three districts in the country, and the parents who have such children will be able to integrate them into an institution that meets their needs," stated Dan Perciun.

The minister noted that for the first time last year, assistive devices for children with severe visual and hearing impairments were purchased, with the support of UNICEF, and a mechanism will be created in 2025 to make these purchases a normal practice so that, annually, these devices can be provided by the state for the children who need them most.

Next week, the Ministry intends to approve new staffing lists for kindergartens. These will include posts that did not exist before, financed with state budget funds, such as psychologists, speech therapists and teachers, to support the integration of children with special educational needs.

Mobile teams of the National Center for Psycho-pedagogical Assistance will be created to assist in the implementation of inclusive education, especially in schools in isolated areas, where there are no specialized personnel.

A national survey will be conducted this year to assess the phenomena of violence and bullying and, based on the study, the progress in combating these trends and the prevention measures will be monitored.

As for children's mental health, the Ministry of Education will issue detailed instructions for schools on mental health promotion and prevention of teenage pregnancies. Also, a national register of education system employees who had been involved in cases of violence will be compiled in 2025 so that their reintegration into other educational institutions can be monitored and prevented.
