Three new constitutional judges take oath

The chairwoman of the Parliament’s commission on appointments and immunities Raisa Apolskii, MP Artur Reshetnikov and former prosecutor general Corneliu Gurin will now serve as judges of the Constitutional Court. In the December 14 sitting of Parliament, the three took an oath of office, IPN reports.

Raisa Apolskii was proposed for constitutional judge by Parliament, Artur Reshetnikov by the Government, while Corneliu Gurin by the Superior Council of Magistracy.

In the same sitting, Parliament named ex-chief of the National Anticorruption Center Viorel Chetraru as vice president of the Audit Office for a five-year term

The MPs also appointed Victor Lashkov as vice director of the National Anticorruption Center. Lashkov earlier served as division head at the Competition Council.
