The persons who submitted applications to have the pension reexamined at the previous stages and had this rejected can file it again to have the old-age pension reassessed as from January 1, 2023, IPN reports.

The National House of Social Insurance encourages the applicants to use the electronic service “e-Application. Reexamination of Pension” that is available on cnas.gov.md or the government gateway servicii.gov.md.

As of January 1, 2023, the persons who retired before January 1, 2019 and have a contributory period of at least two years after the pension was set and didn’t benefit from pension reassessment at the previous stages can have their pensions reexamined.

A new formula will be used from January 1 next year to reexamine the old-age pension, for the contributory period recorded after this pension is set. Under the regulations, the pension will be determined only based on the contributory period and the earnings got after the old-age pension is set. The obtained value will be later added to the calculated pension.
