From technical and logistical viewpoints, this year’s elections were of a higher quality than the parliamentary elections of 2010, despite a number of violations identified, the head of the election monitoring effort of “Promo-LEX” Association Pavel Postica said in a news conference at IPN.

The presented figures referred to the situation at 690 polling places form which the observers of “Promo-LEX” submitted information. Thus, in 0.4% of the cases, the ballot boxes and packs sent to the electoral districts haven’t been sealed. 0.3% of the voters cast their ballots without having the stamp “Elections 30.11.2014” put in their identity card. Near polling places, the voters were offered money or products in reward (0.8%). There were identified cases of influence on the voters to make them vote in a certain way (1.2%). Acts of violence or intimidation were reported in 1.1% of the polling places.

There were also situations when the voters were transported to polling places in an organized way and when attempts to corrupt the voters were made. “It is the authorities that will decide if these violations can or not influence the election outcome,” stated Pavel Postica.

Referring to the parties that won the largest number of votes, Pavel Postica said the PSRM and PLDM gained an equal number of votes and would thus hold by 24 seats of MP. They are followed by the PCRM with 21 seats, the PDM with 19 seats and the PL with 13 seats.

The final results of the November 30 parlaiemntary elections will be provided by the Central Election Commission by the end of this day.
