The Union Tour of the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre (TNME) from Chisinau was met with great enthusiasm in Bucharest, according to the organizers. They reported that the performances "The Glass Garden" and "Chirita in Concert in Chisinau" played to sold-out audiences on the Grand Stage "Ion Caramitru" at the I.L. Caragiale National Theatre, IPN reports.
"Our goal of attracting audiences from Bucharest and capturing their attention through the life experiences we have gone through - to help them understand our sensitivities, build mutual trust, open new collaboration opportunities, and promote writers and the art created east of the Prut - has been achieved," stated representatives of the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre.
In recognition of the tenth anniversary of the first Union Tour edition, the Deputy General Director of the Bucharest National Theatre, Mircea Rusu, presented Petru Hadarca, the Director of TNME, with a certificate of appreciation. Petru Hadârcă paid tribute to the late Ion Caramitru, who supported the tour initiative, and emphasized the importance of continued support for cultural exchanges.
The Union Tour remains a symbol of friendship and cultural collaboration between Chisinau and Bucharest, promoting the values of Romanian theatre and artists from both sides of the Prut River.
