On International Rescuer’s Day, celebrated on 1 March, the single thematic, anti-fire and survival training in exceptional situation exhibition in Moldova will present examples of heroism of Moldovan fireman-rescuers, as well as the models of behaviour in crisis situation.
The manager of the exhibition, Nicolae Rodiola, said that this works for 20 years already, offering to visitors thematic mini-inaugurations, such as „Children and fire”, from the history of Firemen Service, equipment of firemen and rescuers, breath-taking photos of fire’s victims, models and unique dioramas with the most frequent fires, registered in Moldova since the firemen service was created – in 1834. „In the period when the poverty swallowed many permanent exhibitions, the exhibition of Exceptional Situation Department, set in the headquarters of the Firemen and Rescuers Detachment of district Botanica, continue to collect exhibits and to make dioramas, which are real masterpieces,” Nicolae Rodiola mentioned. According to him, the Exhibition is a training base not only for the staff but as well as for personnel, students, and pupils and even for children of kindergartens.
At his turn, the head of Firemen and Rescuers Department of district Botanica, Anatol Viniciuc, noted that the material of the stands and shop windows is supported by movies shot by exhibition’s organisers, which offer breath-taking information, but extremely useful in using fire.
Referring to activity of Firemen and Rescuers Department of district Botanica, Anatol Viniciuc, said that the greatest achievement of last year was rescuing of persons of floods of August. The special cars of this department were the only one that managed to get through, to street Iazului, to rescue people and to evacuate water. More than this, in those 172 broken fires in the sector, firemen rescued 28 persons and assets of 13,578,000 lei.
