On Friday the electricity consumption needs will be fully covered on the right bank. Energocom announces that it has reserved capacities on the border with Romania to cover the consumption needs of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.
For Friday, January 24, electricity consumption is expected to be similar to the last few days, with domestic demand being covered by power generated by the Chisinau and Balti district heating plants, renewable energy plants and imports.
The commercial capacity at the border with Romania is limited for Moldova to 315 MW band of the 650-800 MW needed in winter, the source notes. Thus, according to Energocom, daily and intra-day auctions are organized to reserve capacities. It happens because the Republic of Moldova is synchronized, en bloc with Ukraine, to the European Continental Energy System ENTSO-E.
