The national football team climbed in FIFA rankings

Moldova’s national football team climbed by one position in the FIFA rankings and is currently ranked 170, IPN reports.

This month, the "tricolors" defeated Andorra in Chisinau, 1-0, and lost a 0-2 game at Elbasan, in Albania. Both matches mattered for the 2020 European Championship.

Among the highest-ranked opponents Moldova is facing is France, incumbent world champion, ranked second. Iceland is 35^th, Turkey - 37^th, Albania - 66^th and Andorra - 139^th. The leader of the FIFA ranking is still Belgium’s national team.
