Mobiasbanca and the National Art Museum of Moldova invites you to get acquainted with the new aesthetic trends of contemporary art at the International Painting Biennial, Chisinau 2019, to be held from 16 May to 23 June.

Founded in 2009, the exhibition at its sixth edition is truly international, bringing together 145 artists in the field of painting, representing 27 countries, with over 152 art works.

The opening event of the exhibition on May 16th, culminated with the awarding ceremony of the meritorious artists and their works will be included in the collection of the National Art Museum of Moldova:

First Prize - Lucian Hrisav, 1994, Romania, "Columns" spray, canvas

2nd Prize - Ileana Ştefanescu, 1969, Romania, "Work in progress", mixed technique, canvas

Third prize - Constantin Migliorini, 1974, Italy, "Renaissance", oil, canvas

The General Secretary of Mobiasbanca, Ms. Stela CIOBANU, handed the special prize of the National Art Museum of Moldova to the Austrian artist Doris Dittrich, for the oil painting Dream Landscape. Florida: "Mobiasbanca is part of an international financial group and we are glad to support this important artistic approach, which brings in focus the trends of the contemporary art in the Republic of Moldova and contributes to the sign-up of the local artistic endeavor in the international context. This valuable painting exhibition gives to the public a unique opportunity to admire and translate the messages, transposed in images and colors, of the artists from so many countries and cultures of the world”.

We congratulate all participants at the current edition of the International Painting Biennale, talented artists who deserve their name on the map of modern arts.
