The "Gheorghe Ghimpu" Theoretical High School in Colonițt has been renovated thanks to an energy efficiency project. The Chisinau City Hall invested 4 million lei to replace windows and doors, ensuring that the school building consumes less energy and, as a result, offers better conditions for students and teachers.
Due to the thermal insulation, the school will be warmer in winter and cooler in summer. The new windows also allow natural light to enter the classrooms.
The school administration states that the energy modernization project has significantly improved energy efficiency and comfort, and the ongoing work did not affect the school’s activities.
Another similar project, aimed at fully insulating buildings and modernizing energy systems, is estimated at around 12 million lei and aims to protect the environment while providing quality education for nearly 600 students, according to IPN.
