Teodora-Luminița Hîncu ranks fifth at World Weightlifting Championships

Moldova’s Teodora-Luminița Hîncu finished fifth at the World Weightlifting Championships held in Tashkent. She achieved the total result of 155 kg: 70 kg in snatch and 85 kg in clean and jerk, IPN reports.

Thunya Sukcharoen of Thailand became world champion in the 45 kg weight class with the result of 172 kg. Columbia’s Manuela Berrio won the second place, while Turkey’s Saziye Erdogan secured the third place.

Earlier, Daniel Lungu ranked tenth at the competition in Tashkent with the total result of 236 kg. Moldova is also represented by Marin Robu, Tudor Ciobanu and Natalia Prishchepa, who will yet compete.
