The best Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot lost both of the final matches in the Futures tournament held in Turkey, even if he was regarded as a possible winner both in singles and in doubles, Info-Prim Neo reports. In the decisive singles match, Radu Albot was beaten by Britain’s Daniel Smethurst 6-3, 5-7, 0-6. In doubles, he and Andrei Ciumac were defeated by Belgium’s Germain Gigounon and Yannik Reuter 6-7, 4-6. In 2011, Radu Albot won five Futures tournaments and thus went up in the world rankings. Now he is the best placed Moldovan tennis player in the ATP rankings – 255th spot. The rankings that were published on February 20 also include Roman Borvanov (265th), Andrei Ciumac (707th), Andrei Gorban (810th), Maxim Dubarenko (1,103th), and Roman Tudoreanu (1,899th).
