The teams Petrocub Sarata Galbena and Speranta Nisporeni were issued with a National License and will be able to compete in the National Division next season, which will thus involve ten contenders, IPN reports.

The decision was taken in the July 8 meeting of the Primary Directive Body of the Football Clubs Licensing System of the Moldovan Football Federation. Petrocub and Speranta will join Milsami, Dacia, Sherff, Saxan, Zimbru, Academia, Dinamo-Auto, and Zaria Balti. The new season starts on July 25.

There will be 14 teams in Division A. FC Budai, which ranked fourth the last season, withdrew from the competition. FC Cahul, which was promoted after winning Division B in the Southern region, will also not play. The promoted teams are: Spicul Chiscareni, Ungheni, Iskra Rybnitsa, Codru Lozova, and Prut Leova.
